Prophet Margin: Oracle of the Information Edge

May 10, 2011

Apologies, dear reader, that I have not had time to make many new posts here as of late. I have, however, been making use of Twitter for passing on shorter discoveries from the library, tweeting as @mmreadsbooks – a bit of a joke on the purported bumper sticker which read ‘Marshall McLuhan Reads Books”, a sticker I have heard of but never seen.

Thanks for reading,

Andrew

Andrew, If you have a chance sometime, would be good to learn the source for the MM tweets. Book/date they are from. Perhaps in a blog entry? Especially for:
All prealphabetic societies are made up of robots.
Advertising tries to adjust us to its world. There we become servo-mechanisms.
“The true hero whether prince or pot-boy does not plot. Fortune does all for him.” -Geo. Meredith
Would be interesting to know, for example, the date of the book where the latter appears, therefore at what time MM was still thinking about Meredith.
    Thanks and cheers!
